I am one of the two fathers in the Ostheimer family. We are a large family and are happiest when we are all together. Then we adults can work together, have a chat or celebrate something, depending on the occasion. Our children – the boys, the girls and the toddlers – always have a great time together.
About Ostheimer:
Ostheimer is a traditional German toy brand that has been known for generations for its beautiful, handmade wooden figures. The company originated in the 1930s and is inspired by the Waldorf educational philosophy, which focuses on imagination, simplicity and natural materials.
What makes Ostheimer so special is the craftsmanship: each figure is hand-cut, sanded and painted in Germany. The soft shapes and warm colors stimulate children's imagination and invite free play without fixed rules.
The figures are made from sustainable wood such as maple and ash and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint. This makes them not only safe for children, but also a conscious and sustainable choice.
Ostheimer toys are known for their timeless quality: each piece is unique and made to last for years, often even from generation to generation. In a world full of plastic toys, Ostheimer offers a calming alternative that invites children to create their own fantasy world.
