Some figures are more than toys. They carry stories with them that are passed down from generation to generation. Sint Nicolaas by Ostheimer is one such special figure.
With his friendly appearance and bishop's staff, he invites children to discover a centuries-old story about generosity, caring for one another, and belief in the goodness of people. During the lead-up to Sinterklaas, he brings magic to the seasonal table, the play area, or as part of a lovingly assembled holiday collection.
Like all Ostheimer figures, Sint Nicolaas is crafted entirely by hand from sustainable wood. The soft shapes, warm appearance, and artisanal finish give the figure a lively character that invites children to play freely and create their own stories. No two figures are exactly alike, making each piece a unique work of craftsmanship.
Whether he finds a special place on the seasonal table, becomes part of an annual ritual, or plays a role in imaginative stories, Sint Nicolaas brings a sense of wonder, anticipation, and togetherness into the home. A timeless figure that helps to experience the magic of the holiday season in a warm and meaningful way
About Ostheimer:
Ostheimer is a traditional German toy brand that has been known for generations for its beautiful, handmade wooden figures. The company originated in the 1930s and is inspired by the Waldorf educational philosophy, in which imagination, simplicity, and natural materials are central.
What makes Ostheimer so special is the craftsmanship: each figure is hand-cut, sanded, and painted in Germany. The soft shapes and warm colors stimulate children's imaginations and invite free play without fixed rules.
The figures are made from sustainable wood such as maple and ash and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint. This makes them not only safe for children, but also a conscious and sustainable choice.
Ostheimer toys are known for their timeless quality: each piece is unique and made to last for years, often even from generation to generation. In a world full of plastic toys, Ostheimer offers a soothing alternative that invites children to create their own world of imagination.
